Halo Infinite’s campaign will still be out next month. However, 343 Industries and Microsoft decided to release the first season of their multiplayer early as part of a Beta Test. All achievements will be carried over to the main game.
After rumors and leaks surfaced, Microsoft announced that it would shadow-drop Halo Infinite’s multiplayer this Week. However, it was reportedly almost delayed. It’s now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via the Microsoft Store.
Although the full game was originally meant to launch with the Xbox Series X/S in November last year, it was delayed by more than a year. Microsoft and 343 discussed the possibility of releasing multiplayer and the campaign separately back in November, but decided not to release the first Halo on a new console “in parts.” They are doing it now but a few weeks apart feels better than one year.
